Elton Hills Elementary School is a K-5 friendly, neighborhood school with a population of approximately 450 students. In a multiage setting, curriculum is delivered through a thematic, integrated approach. Students, along with staff and parents, form teams for excellence in learning.
History of Elton Hills
- In 1959, three houses on Cascade Street were used as the first educational units for 197 students. The school staff included six teachers, a principal, and a custodian.
- In 1960, Elton Hills Elementary School opened with 18 classrooms and two kindergartens.
- In 1987, Elton Hills began their multi-age classrooms with 3/4 and 5/6 configuration.
- Today, Elton Hills classes are in grade level groups from K to 5.
